Poor VAR ruling denies Wolfsburg chance of going top of the league table

A late and poor VAR ruling prevented Wolfsburg the one opprotunity to go top of the German Bundesliga on Sunday, with Joao Victor's 84th-minute goal disallowed, which saw the game in a goalless draw against Augsburg.
Wolfsburg were already celebrating what they beleive was a victory after Tin Jedvaj's cross was tapped home by Victor before referee Tobias Stieler overturned the strike for offside. Augsburg dominated the entire first half of the game period.
There were number of chances created by Augsburg striker Florian Niederlechner going close in the 17th minute with a close range shot to the opponent post.
Florian Niederlechner had another chance to open the scoring in the 50th minute, but again abruptly failed to convert.
So far, Wolfsburg remain the Bundesliga's only unbeaten side, while Augsburg finish the weekend in the 17th position after achieving their fourth draw of the season.
