Bayern Munich drop points after drawing against RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich dropped points again on Saturday, drawing for the second time in three Bundesliga games against RB Leipzig.

The European champions had been unstoppable to start the season, but it now seems like the intensity of the last few months is starting to take its toll on the players.

The Bavarians left a number of their usual starters on the bench against Atletico Madrid in midweek, and a win on Saturday would have given them a five-point cushion at the top of the table.

But Bayern don’t seem unstoppable anymore, and Leipzig struck first. Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring after just 19 minutes.

That lead was short-lived though, as Jamal Musiala levelled with half an hour played, allowing Thomas Muller to put Bayern in front four minutes later.

That advantage would last just two minutes, though, before Justin Kluivert equalised.

Emil Forsberg restored the visitors’ advantage shortly after half time, but Muller netted his second to tie things up again at 3-3 late on.
