CAF confirm Afcon group stage draw


The tournament is scheduled to kick off on 9 January 2022 and is set to round up on 6 February 2022.

There will be a couple new nations at the tournament, with both Comoros and Gambia making their first appearance at Africa's biggest tournament, while Sierra Leone return for the first time since 1996.

The defending champions, Algeria begin their title defence against Sierra Leone while they were also drawn alongside Equatorial Guinea and two-time winners Cote d'Ivoire

Group B:

Group C:

Group D:
